It is important to note that teaching does not just happen in traditional classroom spaces. If we, as educators, are charged to open minds, we can't expect to only work in classrooms. We must interact with campus, local, and internet communities to affect change. Below are samples of presentations Dr. Halliday has facilitated on various college campuses.
Dr. Halliday presented this workshop on racism and racist humor to two different audiences: a mixed group of faculty, staff, and students presented by the Office of Interdisciplinary Graduate Programs and an internal programming event for the Purdue Anti-Racism Coalition. Both events occurred in spring of 2013.
Dr. Halliday conducted this workshop on utilizing social media for business, personal, or social justice purposes for the Purdue University Graduate School Deans & Directors at their April meeting in 2013.
